Circle of Prayer
The Circle of Prayer provides an access to people who
will pray for a particular person, by name, who has a sudden health problem.
When an illness is chronic and or long lasting, names should be included in
the weekly Church bulletin. Membership is open to anyone who would like to
join in prayer. It involves receiving a name or names by phone, and passing
it on to the next person down the list as soon as possible. The use of a
telephone answering machine is acceptable.

Ministry of Care
The Ministry of Care is a team of concerned parishioners
striving to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our
community. We respond through simple acts of caring and support by helping
with meals, phone calls, shopping, friendly visits and by sharing a little
of our time and talents. The group consists of a core group of individuals
who in turn make calls to parishioners to provide aid to those in need.
Volunteers are always needed especially to provide meals and visits. The
Ministry of Care also provides welcoming packages for new parishioners and
hosts hospitality evenings. They are a part of the Outreach Committee which
meets jointly several times during the year.
Meeting days: varies at homes of committee members

together with other area Parish Nurses bring the labyrinth to Our Lady of
Sorrows on Holy Thursday. The Parish Nurses are part of the Outreach
Commission which meets several times per year to share programs and ideas.
